I hope Harold wins too. He seems the most humble, talented and easy to get along with in a kitchen. Tiffany’s too mean and Dave gets too frazzled. I like how Harold focuses on the food and not on all the personal stuff.

Question: Should we create “Luxury Public Schools” that could help offset taxpayer dollars?
Here’s how it works. School districts around the country will be given startup money to create Luxury Public Schools. It will work like private schools in that parents will be required to pay the amount to go to the luxury schools, and this extra money made in profits, will go to help pay the costs of regular public schools. They may even make a profit.
The Luxury Public Schools can have have manicured lawns, pristine buildings, and 5-star restaurant with an in-school chef, you know things of that nature. It can cost $ 20,000-$ 28,000 a year that all prospective students and parents must pay.
The money for this helps maintain the luxury public school, but it also means that there will be money left over can go to pay for regular public schools, and it’s a win-win situation for both. It’s a perfect way to get people with money to pay up the extra money that goes to help public schools, and that is money that would not have been attained otherwise.
Do you think we should create Luxury Public Schools?

No. What you are describing already exists – they’re called private schools. They cost more money, but they are also funded partially in part by tax dollars like public schools. They don’t directly help pay for public schools, but because the parents who send their kids to private schools make more money, they in turn pay more in tax dollars which funds the public schools that their kids do not attend. The privatization of public schools will not benefit the community at large, only a small percentage.
